Rusty appreciates the unique challenges of commercial real estate. Santa Fe's complex market is uncharacteristic of most cities in the United States and requires a comprehensive understanding of its trends. Because he is a native Santa Fean and in his 35th year of real estate, Rusty has the background to aid his customers and clients in making the most profitable business decisions. His experience of being a three-term past chairman of the Commercial Council of Realtors speaks highly of his performance, knowledge and willingness to be involved. He is also in his 15th year of serving on the Board of the Santa Fe Community Housing Trust. The Housing Trust is the affordable housing organization of Santa Fe and makes it possible for over 100 families a year to obtain home ownership.

Rusty educates himself about all aspects of each business he works with. He is skilled at projecting what will benefit his customer in terms of location and marketability, and ensures that his customers will be able to make an informed decision from the market research he presents to them.
Rusty invests much of his free time in the restoration of cars and is particularly interested in the Muscle Car Era of the 1960s and 1970s.

Rusty is also a past World's Champion in Sporting Clays with a shotgun.
